Arsenal and England star Russo will be among the interested observers whoever they get paired against, with the Lionesses forward taking great pride in seeing the town that she grew up in put itself on the footballing map. She posted on social media alongside a video of the wild celebrations which greeted the final whistle at Portman Road: “FA Cup magic for the locals.”

Russo has FA Cup glory of her own to chase down this term, with Arsenal due to face Manchester City in the fifth round of the women’s competition, and will be back in WSL action on Sunday when the Gunners take in a trip to Liverpool.
